THE MAGNIFICENT IQBAL MANZIL PALACE :

Iqbal Manzil :
Built by Sir Mohammad Ali Mohammad Khan in 1928 this was a palace for his Maharani Zakia Begum Sahiba of Mehmudabad . It was built in the Avadh style of architecture. Situated near the city station near Wazirganj it is a place worth a visit if one wants to experience the old lucknow life style.
The present Rajkumar Rajkumar Moh. Amir Naqi Khan would like to offer his residence as a paying guest or a home stay for tourists. His residence is housed in the upper floor which opens into a courtyard which was once a tennis court for the ladies.
The entrance to the living room is through a hallway lined with black and white pictures that capture some important historical events. An air of antiquity shrouds the living room. The furniture and the artifacts show the colonial influence combined with a setting of a typical avadhi corner where one could lounge against the "masnad" cushions for an evening of avadhi music.

The Prince is celebrated connoisseur of Mughal cushine and the kitchen of Iqbal Manzil Palace "Bawarchi Khana" was known for its unique dinners. The guests palate would often be put to test into deciphering as to what was being served.
To revive the old traditionally served food, the present Rajkumar Mohhamad Amir Naqi Khan Proposes to host tourists for a cultural evening followed by a Mughlai Cuisine.
Minimum required number of guests would be ten and not more than thirty can be accommodated per evening.
